Autumn in Japan is renowned for its brilliant colors, yet what interested me most was the quiet dialogue between nature and design. In Kyoto and Tokyo, gardens, temples, and urban spaces create subtle frames through which the season reveals itself. Within these settings, I looked for moments where color, line, and balance come together in simple, graphic compositions.
Rather than capturing sweeping views of the season, this series focuses on smaller scenes — a branch of maple against a pale sky, leaves resting on stone, or the careful geometry of a garden guiding the eye through the colors of autumn.
