On certain winter mornings, Dubai rises above the clouds. As the mist settles over the city, the streets and buildings disappear beneath a soft white sea, leaving only the tallest towers emerging above the clouds. From above, the skyline feels suspended between earth and sky.
These moments are rare and unpredictable. Capturing them requires patience, early mornings, and a measure of luck, waiting for the fog to form and the light to reveal the city in a new way.
This series brings together photographs made over more than ten years, documenting those fleeting mornings when Dubai briefly becomes a city above the clouds.
